Lets learn about fry and parr. fry are twice of the size of a alevin. Also after the alevin. For fry the yolk sac will start to turn into their silver skin color of the little salmon. they’re about 3-4 cm. They have teeth, scales and fins. If they have really dark black marks on their back then they are called parr. The lines also help them to camouflage too. Habitat: They swim away the redd to find fabel. food: They eat insect, plankton and fish eggs. Predators and threats: Birds and large fish eat fry and parr. Interesting Facts: Fry and use their swim bladder for the first time to move/swim in the water.

Dear Ariana,
I enjoy your post. I hope we learn more about salmon.
It’s cool how fry look so small but big when they are 3-4 cm. long.
